KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE ALLEY ARE A BLAST!

If you’d like to have a birthday party that’s exciting and different then book your party with us. It’s easy to bowl and kids of all ages love it. Parents love bowling birthday parties because the kids entertain themselves on the lanes and our cafe staff take care of all the catering and cleanup afterwards. Parents can relax with a coffee as they watch the fun unfold or are welcome to join in on the bowling as well.

STANDARD PARTY OPTIONS

Each birthday package includes, as standard, 1 x game of tenpin bowling, kids’ food, drinks and a reserved spot in our dedicated party area for 2 hours. You can choose between two food options in your package:

PACK 1

1x game of tenpin bowling + 5x chicken nuggets & fries served with sauce and drink - $28 per child

PACK 2

1x game of tenpin bowling + 5x mini vegetable spring rolls & fries and drink (Veg. option) - $28 per child

Each party is also charged a single $30 party area cleaning fee per booking which covers the party area hire and associated clean-up after your party.

EXTRAS

If you’d like, you can some additional finger food options for parents or extra hungry kids:

  • Basket of Fries (700g fries served with tomato sauce) - $14

  • Basket of Wedges (750g wedges, sour cream & sweet chilli) - $17

  • Basket of Nuggets (18 chicken nuggets served with tomato sauce) - $16

  • Basket of Mini Dim Sims (15 mini dim sims served with soy sauce) - $12

  • Basket of Mini Spring Rolls (16 mini vegetable spring rolls served with sweet chilli) - $12

HOW A TYPICAL PARTY WORKS

As soon as the birthday child and parents arrive they check in with reception, get setup in the party area and wait for all their guests to arrive. Staff will store your birthday cake and will guide you in collecting the all the guests’ names. Once everyone has arrived all guests will be directed up to the lanes where the fun gets rolling. As soon as bowling is finished, food will be served to the party table located in the reserved party area downstairs, and afterwards the cake will be brought out to the table.

WHEN CAN I BOOK?

To provide the best possible birthday party experience, The Alley only has one bookable birthday slot per day on Fridays, and two slots on Saturdays and Sundays. We typically recommend Fridays at 4pm, and Saturdays/Sundays at 11am and 2pm. We also do not take kids birthday bookings over the Autumn, Winter and Spring term holidays as these are typically our busiest times of the year and it’s difficult to deliver a great birthday party experience.

SOME OTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

No. We don’t take deposits for birthday bookings. We take payment on the day at the start of your event, after all your guests arrive and before the kids get up on the lanes to bowl.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A GUEST HAS DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

As part of the birthday package options, we have vegetarian food options available but for anything more serious, we recommend that you bring in your own food for the affected guest(s). We can store the food, warm it up if needed and send it out at the same time as the rest of the guests’ food. If this applies to your event, please let the bookings coordinator know and they can ensure the staff on the day are aware.

DO YOU SUPPLY INVITATIONS?

No, we do not supply invitations at the moment.

CAN I BRING IN EXTRA PARTY DECORATIONS?

Yes. If you’d like to go all out with extra balloons, streamers, themed decorations (Marvel, Minecraft, Bluey, Peppa Pig, Disney, Star Wars…) you’re more than welcome to bring in these extras. Please nothing that sticks to the walls or party poppers/confetti.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CAKE?

Yes. We can store the cake in our storeroom, fridge, or freezer as required and bring it out to the party table at the right time. Don’t forget to bring the candles! Please note, we do not allow cakes to be brought into The Alley unless as part of a kids birthday booking.

CAN I BRING IN EXTRA FOOD?

In general, no. We make exceptions for birthday cake (obviously!), lolly bags for the kids to take home afterwards, and food for guests with specific dietary requirements.

CAN I BOOK AN EXTRA LANE FOR PARENTS/SIBLINGS?

You bet. Please speak to the bookings coordinator about adding a lane or two for parents/siblings when making the birthday booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T HAVE 8 KIDS ON THE DAY?

We have a minimum of 8 kids for birthday party bookings and if, unfortunately fewer than 8 can make it on the day, you’ll still need to pay for the minimum.

PARTY CONDITIONS

  1. Hosting parents and guardians must maintain control of all guests at all times. Children running wild through the venue is a serious safety concern. Staff will be roaming the floor to assist where possible but are not responsible for your guests.

  2. No outside food or drinks allowed, with the exception of pre-arranged dietary requirements as confirmed with the bookings coordinator.

  3. The reserved party area is available for 2 hours.

  4. Party packages are valid for groups of 8 or more. If less than 8 children arrive on the day, you must pay for 8 children.

  5. Minimum birthday child age is 6 years old.

  6. Pricing and package contents are subject to change without prior notice.

  7. Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance. All party options may not be available for parties booked after this deadline.

  8. All guests must abide by The Alley rules and staff directions.
